Anita Cowley Savage is a
collaboratively trained attorney as well as a seasoned
litigator. She has practiced law since
1996 and has offices in Dallas, Texas as well as in Denver,
Colorado.
Anita received her Bachelor of Arts in
Criminal Justice from the University of Toronto.
Upon graduation, she worked as a private investigator in
Atlanta until she entered law school.
Anita
was awarded her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of
Law. During law school, Anita was a member of her
schools' Dean's List as well as the National Dean's List.
She was President of the Legal Association of Women and
Treasurer of the Student Bar Association.
Since being admitted to practice law,
Anita's practice has focused on general civil litigation and
alternative dispute resolution.
She was an associate with the law firm of Moyer, Beal and Vranesic from 1997 through 2000, when she joined
Ruegsegger
Thomas, a workers' compensation defense firm. In 2002,
Anita began her own law practice, continuing her emphasis on
civil litigation. Since 2004, she has been practicing
exclusively in the area of family law.
Anita represents clients in both collaborative and traditional divorce cases,
and is a professionally trained mediator.
Anita is admitted to practice law
in Texas, Colorado and Georgia and before the United States
District Court for the District of Colorado. She is a member of the Colorado Bar Association,
and has recently been selected to become a Colorado Bar
Fellow. She is also a member of the
Denver Bar Association, the Metropolitan Denver
Interdisciplinary Committee, the Colorado Collaborative Law
Professionals, and the Rocky Mountain Collaborative Law
Practice Group. Anita is an active runner, skier and reader and
is an enthusiastic mother and cook. |
